Acceptance

By using Hookd, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

The Service

Hookd is a fishing collection game that lets you log catches, build a species Dex, earn trophies, and compete on leaderboards. Features may change over time.

Your Account

• You must sign in with Apple or Google to use Hookd
• You are responsible for your account activity
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings

Subscriptions

• Hookd offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Annual)
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

Content

• You own your catch photos and data
• By sharing catches publicly, you grant Hookd a license to display them in the app
• Don't upload illegal, harmful, or misleading content

Fair Play

• Don't manipulate leaderboards or game data
• Don't use automated tools or bots
• We may suspend accounts that violate fair play

Copyright — Reporting Infringement

Catch photos and posts on Hookd are uploaded by the people using it. If you hold the copyright to something that appears here without your permission, send a notice to our designated agent and we will remove it promptly.

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the copyrighted work you say was infringed
• Identification of the material on Hookd you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it — a screenshot, the angler's handle, and the date usually does it
• Your address, phone number, and email
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Counter-Notice

If we remove something of yours and you believe it was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address — or, if you are outside the United States, any district in which we may be found.

We forward the counter-notice to whoever sent the original claim. If they do not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat Infringers

We terminate the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. Removed content counts against the account that uploaded it, and an account that accumulates repeated valid notices loses access permanently.

Limitation of Liability

Hookd is provided "as is". We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app. Fish identification is AI-assisted and may be inaccurate.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
